The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is now a member of the Age-friendly University Global Network, which Wendy Rogers took the initiative to incorporate the U of I into. The network strives to provide “an inclusive approach to healthy and active aging.” While the university already has several techniques for inclusion of older adults,  Chancellor Jones hopes that membership in the AFU will help maintain the involvement of older adults as well as understand areas of improvement. Read more about Illinois joining.
